Safe Routes To School (SRTS) Program
City Schools joins the Beavercreek community and agencies throughout Greene
County in support of the Safe Routes to School (SRTS) program. The purpose of
the SRTS program is to foster a more active, healthier lifestyle for elementary
and middle school students by encouraging them to walk or ride a bicycle to
school. As part of the SRTS program, engineering projects such as sidewalk and
bike path construction in conjunction with education and encouragement
activities help students safely achieve a more active, healthier lifestyle.
Administered by the Ohio Department of Transportation, the federally funded SRTS
program has increased the amount of students walking and bicycling to Ohio schools.
Input from parents with children attending Beavercreek City Schools is very important to the SRTS program. Please take a moment to complete a brief survey about walking and bicycling to school here.
