🩰✨ Stories in Motion at Shaw! ✨🩰
Kindergarteners at Shaw Elementary were treated to a special performance by the Dayton Ballet School as part of the Stories in Motion program. 🐞🐜🐝
This year’s story was all about bugs—and students learned how dancers can tell a story without saying a word, using only movement and facial expressions. What a beautiful way to experience the power of the arts!
🎭 This engaging program is part of the Dayton Performing Arts Alliance Education Department, bringing creativity and storytelling to life for our young learners.

🎻🎶 The Orchestra and You program struck a chord with Fairbrook's second graders this week!
Students had a blast learning about different instruments and how an orchestra works. The best part? Some brave volunteers got to be in the orchestra—performing for their classmates and showing off their new musical knowledge! 🎺🥁🎼
It was a hands-on, harmony-filled experience they won't forget! 🧡🖤

🌎✨ Bringing Culture to the Cafeteria! ✨🌎
Our BHS International Club recently teamed up with Chef David and our amazing Nutrition Team to create a brand-new Mediterranean Bar—now available every Monday!
From gyro meat and chicken shawarma to roasted chickpeas and Greek Feta Fries (a new favorite!), students helped select the flavors, toppings, and menu items that reflect a wider range of cultures and preferences.
This delicious new option is a direct result of student input, thoughtful collaboration, and a shared goal of better serving our diverse school community. 💬🍽️🧡
Thank you to the International Club for leading with ideas and helping make lunchtime more inclusive—and more delicious!

🌟 Student Spotlight: Miranda Grogean 🌟
Congratulations to Senior Miranda Grogean on earning the Girl Scout Gold Award—the highest honor in Girl Scouts! 🎉🏅
Miranda combined art and recycling for her project to raise awareness about environmental sustainability. She and her team built an ocean-themed float for the 4th of July parade using recycled materials to highlight ocean pollution. She also hosted a three-day camp for kids (grades 3-6), teaching them about recycling through fun, hands-on activities.
Through her work, Miranda has inspired others to think about how they can help the planet. 🌎♻️ Way to go, Miranda!

Throwing it back to Pi Day earlier this month—At Valley Elementary, Mr. Minnich’s class celebrated in the best way possible! Students competed to memorize the most digits of Pi, and the top scorers in each math class earned the ultimate reward… the chance to pie Mr. Minnich in the face! 🎯😂

💼 BHS Business Pathway Students Attend BPA State Leadership Conference! 💼
Earlier this month, BHS Business Pathway students represented Beavercreek at the BPA State Leadership Conference in Columbus. They had the opportunity to compete in contests, serve as voting delegates, and network with students from across Ohio.
While no students advanced to Nationals this year, the experience was invaluable, and they are eager to return next year with a better understanding of what to expect.
A special thank you goes to Mrs. Brandi Ingram, who served as a parent chaperone and provided support throughout the event. Her help made this opportunity possible!

🌟 Treasurer/CFO Joy Kitzmiller and HR Director Deron Schieterman in Washington D.C.! 🌟
Earlier this month, our very own Joy Kitzmiller and Deron Schieterman attended the 2025 NAFIS Spring Conference in Washington, D.C., where they advocated for the continued funding of Impact Aid with Ohio Senators and House of Representative members.
The National Association of Federally Impacted Schools (NAFIS) represents approximately 1,100 federally impacted public school districts, educating over eight million students nationwide.
Federally impacted districts are those located near nontaxable Federal properties like military bases, national parks, and more. They receive Impact Aid to support their unique needs. It’s inspiring to see our district represented at such a crucial conference!
