In honor of National Veterans and Military Family Appreciation Month, did you know that the Purple Star School designation began in 2017 in Ohio and that Trebein Elementary was part of the inaugural class to receive this prestigious designation? 💜✨ The Purple Star Award is given to "Military-Friendly Schools" that demonstrate support for our military-connected families. 🎶 Fact Friday! 🎶 Did you know the Beavercreek High School Friends Show Choir has been sharing its musical talent for over 50 years? Established in 1972, this group started as an offshoot of the BHS vocal music program when a group of friends began meeting after school to sing more contemporary music. This casual gathering inspired the name “Friends” and gave rise to our amazing show choir! Since then, Friends Show Choir has been a proud Beavercreek tradition, bringing energy, passion, and creativity to every performance. They’re gearing up for their much-anticipated performance at Cabaret on November 9th. 🎤✨ Under the direction of Justine Haynes and Elyse Eveland, these groups are set to deliver an unforgettable show. 📊 Fact Friday 📊 Did you know? Beavercreek City Schools recently conducted a traffic study for the area around the proposed new high school site at Alpha Bellbrook Rd. and Indian Ripple Rd. 🚗🚦 In partnership with the City of Beavercreek, Beavercreek Township, and Oberer Development, the study analyzed current traffic and projected volumes through 2028—and even considered potential needs as far out as 2048. 📈 The results will guide future infrastructure upgrades to support a high school at this location, working closely with City, County, and Township officials. #BHSFactFriday

🏆 Shoutout to Tucker Goldshot! 🧢 Tucker, a 9th grader at Ferguson Hall, recently competed in the 2024 Cincinnati Reds Baseball/Softball Skills Champions Day at Great American Ball Park! He finished an impressive 2nd overall in the 9th-grade division, going up against top scorers from across the region! ⚾️ Tucker qualified after his strong performance at Reds Camp in Centerville this past June.
