Academic Team
The BHS Academic Team is kind of a club, kind of a sport, seeing as we compete in the GWOC and students can earn a varsity letter for competing on the varsity team. The team is open to all students who love to learn and want to show off what they know. The Academic Team, or Quiz Bowl, is composed of teams of 4 students who compete against each other across the region, state and nation (We are the 2019 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS by the way) over every subject area from History to Science, Literature to Fine Arts, and Geography to Math. Everything is fair game and the earlier you start, the better!

All Star Dance Team
The All-Star Team was created to provide a social environment for student’s grades 9 to age 22 who are enrolled as a student at BHS. The team is composed of students with and without disabilities. While providing a committed team environment is important, creating lasting friendships among dance members is also a priority. The team competes at various high schools throughout the year.

American Sing Language Club
ASL club is open to any student interested in American Sign Language. Our goal is to provide students with the opportunity to learn, practice and improve their sign language skills as well as expand their knowledge of Deaf Culture.

Art Club will hold after school meetings to provide a time to create art projects, participate in art related community service and make friends with others who also love art. Meetings are at BHS in room 1173 from 3:05-4:00, every other Thursday.

Marching Band & Color Guard
“The Pride of Beavercreek” is open to students in grades 9-12 who are enrolled in a band class. Although this ensemble requires extensive time and energy, the rewards students experience through teamwork, accomplishment, and pride significantly outweigh the investment.
Concert bands are ability-based groups that perform several concerns throughout the year. The bands are open to students in grades 9-12.

The Beacon
Students interested in joining the newspaper staff must complete an application in January/February, which can be found through any English teacher, guidance counselor, office staff member, or on Mrs. Russ's Google site. Staff members will complete morning video announcements, Music Fridays, the newspaper website, and many other activities to support the BHS school population. Students must take Journalism 1 either before or during their time taking Journalism II.

Beaverettes Dance Team
Being a Beaverette is a challenging and rewarding experience! We get to dance with our teammates and make memories, but more than that, dancers will develop life skills like responsibility, teamwork, discipline and leadership. We always expect team members to give 110% and have a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and dedication to their teammates, their sport, and their community. The Beaverette Dance Team is composed of a Varsity team and a Junior Varsity team that each compete at the National Dance Team Championship in Orlando, Florida. Board Game
Board Game Club is open to any student wishing to learn and play strategic board games, whether new to the hobby or not. Often several different games are being played by different groups, so students can usually find a game that they enjoy and fits their play style.

Careers/Creek Industries
Careers classes at BHS start at the freshman level and continue through Super Senior level. The goal of the classes is for students to gain real work experience, social skills as well as learning about what it takes to land a job, by doing various types of work tasks and some real world work and volunteer experiences. The main focus of the classes is to help the students get placed in a job or adult service before leaving BHS. We
recently started Creek Industries to sell spirit wear and other fun spirit items in our in-school store.

CBI (Career Based Intervention)
Career Based Intervention (CBI) is a one-year co-op program for qualifying seniors. CBI students learn real world 21st century work skills, transferable employability skills, and earn income while putting into practice the CBIP academics curriculum on the job, under the mentorship of CBIP Coordinators.

Christians in Action - CIA
VISION: To provide a venue for young people of faith to share with one another, support one another, encourage one another.
MISSION: BHS CIA will provide an opportunity for fellowship and study, with a means and opportunity for students to involve themselves in outreach/service work, both locally and beyond.
GOALS: To continue supporting our sponsor child through Compassion International. To provide a welcoming atmosphere at meetings. To continue service project opportunities including our annual Christmas in a Shoebox project in conjunction with Operation Christmas Child.

Creek Crew members are assigned to homerooms in Ferguson Hall and help the 9th graders as they transition to high school. They cover topics in homeroom like organization, forming better study habits, and encourage students to get involved in their school. Creek Crew also organizes Freshman Orientation, an Ice Cream Social during Challenge Day, a Club Fair, and the Talent Show.

French Club (inactive for the 23-24 school year)
The French Club meets one a month to explore various elements of french culture (eat food, watch films, learn expressions, compete over trivia, etc) and to celebrate culture-specific holidays. The annual Bûche de Noël decorating contest and the annual Boules competition (the French version of bocce ball) are some club highlights. The cost is $5 for the year.
Friends Show Choir
Friends is the show choir from Beavercreek High School, in Beavercreek Ohio. They have been entertaining audiences for more than forty years.

Plays and Tech Crew
We have a Fall Play, Winter Play, and Spring Musical. Students audition for shows or work on technical crews for the shows. The performances typically run the end of October for the Fall Play, end of January for the Winter Play, and the end of April for the Spring Musical. There is no activity fee to participate. We have past actors and tech crew members working on Broadway, in Hollywood, in movies, television, and streaming services.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) National Science Bowl® is a nationwide academic competition that tests students’ knowledge in all areas of science and mathematics. Teams face-off in a fast-paced question-and-answer format, being tested on a range of science disciplines including biology, chemistry, Earth science, physics, energy, and math.
