Beavercreek City Schools Community Guidelines for Social Media
Beavercreek City maintains social media pages to share what is happening in our schools with our community. We encourage you to follow our accounts and share our posts. Social media will never be used as the primary source of information for Beavercreek City Schools. ParentSquare is the official communication tool for providing information to families.
To create a positive and engaging environment for everyone on our district social media accounts, we ask all users to treat one another with respect. Visitors to our social media pages may disagree with one another; however, they must be respectful of others at all times and model the same good behavior we expect from our students.
We ask that all comments on our social media pages stay on topic, respect other people’s opinions, avoid profanity, offensive statements, and illegal content. Insults, threats, and/or harassment are all prohibited.
Beavercreek City Schools reserves the right to delete any post or comment that:
- is defamatory, hateful, vulgar, or inappropriate;
- encourages criminal activity, violence, or truancy;
- is inaccurate or encourages disinformation;
- includes information that could compromise the safety or individuals or our schools;
- is unintelligible or irrelevant to the post. This includes off-topic comments and “spamming” comments across multiple threads/posts;
- includes commercial solicitations, advertisements, or links, such as outside services, products, political candidates or organizations;
- otherwise violates the restrictions listed above.
The district reserves the right to ban any user from our page without prior written notice or consent for violations of these community policies.
Beavercreek City Schools is only responsible for content shared on the listed official district social media channels.
